WOW. That is unbelievably impressive! Nice work! My beautiful boy Cooper (rescue beagle) was extremely intelligent as well...but also extremely stubborn. He wouldn't have cared what I said -- that meat would never have hit the floor! I probably could have enforced more strictly but In all other ways he was my perfect, best-est boy. More than anything, I miss his song. Do mixes like border beagles have the same soulful (admittedly sometimes alarming) howl?

How often should the string be changed out? I have a 10 year old string that hasn’t hardly been used and it still looks like new. It’s been stored at room temp. The whole time.

I used some wire off a Dodge pickup that was about the same size as the string. I was going to use some nylon rope, but I couldn't find any here at the Church, the lumber yard and farm supply places were closed. But it was Sunday morning when I put the string on mine 😊

The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need

The attachment of the string at my X-Bow (Skorpion XBH Elite) is different. There is a vertical bolt at each end of the arms, where the string is hooked in. But I think and hope, the shown technique will also work at mine.

Would this work on a Micro? The limbs on 355 Micro are thicker and the tension is higher. Probably need a thicker rope maybe?
